1. It can be used as a catalyst and catalytic reagent for organic reactions. 

   Due to its good acidity, methoxytriphenylsilane can promote acid-catalyzed reactions, increasing the reaction rate and reaction yield. 

   In addition, it can also be used as a ligand for transition metal catalysts and participate in a range of organic synthesis reactions.
